The role

We are hiring a Pre-Sales Engineer in Johannesburg to support Cloudflare and Flarehawk opportunities across South Africa and the wider region. You will partner with sales, customers, and technical stakeholders to qualify opportunities, run demos, answer technical questions, and help customers see the right path forward.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery for Cloudflare and Flarehawk opportunities.
• Run demos, workshops, proof-of-value sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
• Help customers map security, infrastructure, and operational challenges to practical solutions.
• Work with account teams to progress opportunities and remove technical blockers.
• Support proposals, partner conversations, and executive-level solution narratives.
• Bring customer feedback back into product and go-to-market planning.

What we are looking for

• Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, cybersecurity consulting, cloud, networking, or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, Zero Trust, application security, network security, or cloud security.
• Confidence speaking with both technical teams and commercial decision-makers.
• Ability to turn ambiguity into a clear technical recommendation and next step.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Cloudflare experience or certification.
• Experience with enterprise or mid-market cybersecurity sales cycles in South Africa.
• Hands-on SOC, SIEM, SASE, WAF, CDN, incident response, or cloud security experience.
