The role

We are hiring a Pre-Sales Engineer in Nairobi to support Cloudflare and Flarehawk opportunities across Kenya and East Africa. You will combine technical security knowledge with commercial judgment to help customers understand, evaluate, and adopt the right solutions.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery for Cloudflare and Flarehawk opportunities.
• Run customer demos, workshops, and solution walkthroughs.
• Translate customer pain points into clear solution fit, risks, and implementation paths.
• Work with sales to qualify opportunities and move deals forward.
• Support partner and customer conversations across East Africa.
• Share field feedback with Vigilbase leadership and the Flarehawk team.

What we are looking for

• Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, or infrastructure.
• Customer-facing confidence and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of security, Zero Trust, cloud security, application security, or network security.
• Strong commercial instincts and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Cloudflare experience or certification.
• Experience with cybersecurity customers, partners, or service providers in Kenya or East Africa.
• Hands-on experience with SOC, SIEM, WAF, SASE, CDN, endpoint, or cloud security tooling.
